ACTREC, Tata Memorial study finds way to curb aggressive cancer
Researchers from ACTREC and Tata Memorial Centre identified a chain involving gene regulation and energy metabolism that drives aggressive skin and oral squamous cell carcinomas. Using human tissue profiling, mouse models and chemical carcinogenesis trials, they found that a dual-drug approach reduced tumour volumes by 80%, pointing to a potential treatment strategy.
