Kannada actress and popular TV anchor Aparna Vastarey passed away on Thursday aged 57 after battling lung cancer. Aparna, the voice behind the Bengaluru Metro's (Namma Metro) Kannada language announcement of destination, acted in TV serials like 'Mukta' and also worked as a radio jockey. Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah expressed his condolences and said, "She has left us very soon."
