The Conservation of Foreign Exchange and Prevention of Smuggling Activities Act has been invoked against Kannada actress Ranya Rao, denying her the right to apply for bail for one-year period, according to reports citing advisory board's order. The case involves the smuggling of 14.2 kgs of gold, valued at over ₹14 crores, from Dubai to Bengaluru airport.
