National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) Member Priyank Kanungo said the Bengaluru stampede occurred due to negligence of the administration. "People were called, and due to a lack of adequate security arrangements, many people died...We will investigate this incident," he added. At least 11 people died and over 50 were injured in the stampede, which occurred outside Chinnaswamy Stadium.
