Admiral Krishna Swaminathan has taken charge as India's 27th Chief of Naval Staff, succeeding Admiral Dinesh Kumar Tripathi. A communication and electronic warfare specialist, he brings nearly four decades of naval experience and has commanded key warships, including INS Vikramaditya.
