Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah reacted to the allegations of 90% Muslim students being admitted to Vaishno Devi college, stating that the admissions were not based on religion. CM Omar stated that the students got admission based on their merit and marks they obtained in the NEET entrance test. Earlier, several RSS outfits had protested against the admissions.
