In response to a query by Lok Sabha secretariat, attorney general GE Vahanvati has clarified that notification regarding disqualification of convicted MPs -Lalu, Jagdish Sharma and Rasheed Masood, should be issued without waiting for the verdict of an appellate court (a higher court). He also said that the Houses to which the convicted MPs belonged should issue notifications disqualifying them.
