Afghan man eats normally after 35 years
A 36-year-old Afghan man, Ahmed Khan, who had been unable to open his mouth properly for 35 years due to severe TMJ ankylosis, underwent nearly six-hour surgery at CK Birla Hospitals, CMRI. Dr Sujoy Mukherjee and his team removed the fused bone and restored his mouth opening to 35 mm, helping him eat regular meals again.
