Afghanistan could lose 25,000 female health workers, teachers: UN

Afghanistan could lose over 25,000 female teachers and health workers by 2030, about 25% of its 2021 workforce, if restrictions on women continue, a UNICEF report said. The Taliban-led administration has banned women from most public sector jobs and limited girls' education to age 12. The report added that up to 9,600 health workers could be lost by 2035.
