Taliban insurgents, on Thursday night, beheaded 12 family members of local and national police and torched 60 homes in Kabul's eastern Ghazni province, the province's deputy police chief Asadullah Ensafi said. They also detonated a car bomb in front of an encampment where 40 policemen were posted. The Taliban have attacked several villages in the past one week, he added.
