Bijoy rana, main accused in the 2013 murder of trader Muhammed in Malappuram's Kizhakke Pandikkad, has surrendered before the Perinthalmanna court. He and his brother Sanjay Rana were on the run for years after the crime. Police say they planned the robbery murder before fleeing to West Bengal and later odisha using fake identities.
