After 18 years, 3,200 farmers get Bengaluru's Karanth Layout plots

After an 18-year wait, the BDA has begun land allotment for farmers and landowners in Bengaluru's Dr K Shivaram Karanth Layout. Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar distributed compensation to 3,200 landowners and farmers and urged them not to sell their plots. Farmers will receive 40% of the developed land per acre under the compensation arrangement.
