Foreigners registered as Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) cardholders post-marriage to Indian nationals are not entitled to that status after their divorce, Centre told Delhi High Court. This came after the Ministry of Home Affairs defended an Indian Embassy in Brussels for asking a Belgian woman to surrender her OCI card after the dissolution of her marriage to an Indian.
