Actress Saiyami Kher, in an interview, talked about how after 'Mirzya' "big filmmakers" replaced her with "commercially more successful" actresses. Saiyami also recounted her struggles to enter the film industry and added, "After long, tedious three years of auditioning, 'Mirzya' happened. That too was a six-month auditioning process. Unfortunately, it didn’t do well at the box office."
