After SBI, Canara Bank makes cash withdrawals from ATMs costlier

Canara Bank has followed SBI in hiking ATM transaction charges from September 1. The number of free transactions at the bank's own ATMs has been reduced from six to five per calendar month, covering both financial and non-financial transactions, even as free transactions for senior citizens remain at eight/month. Cash withdrawals will now attract ₹23+GST/transaction, up from ₹20+GST/transaction.
