After sugar and eggs see price jumps, wheat futures hit record levels

Wheat prices in futures market hit a three-year high as escalating Russia-Ukraine tensions in the Black Sea area cut exports from one of the world's most important grain-growing regions. Chicago contracts closed 0.9% higher at $7.55/bushel on Thursday, trading around 30% above their low levels at the end of June. Exporters are seeking alternative routes, but they likely won't suffice.
