California University researchers have created an AI algorithm that can solve a Rubik's cube in a "fraction of a second", the human record for which stands at 3.47 seconds. DeepCubeA algorithm solved 100% of all test configurations, finding shortest path about 60% of the time. DeepCubeA, however, is three times slower than MIT's non-AI 'min2phase' algorithm, the current fastest.
