On the fortieth anniversary of Pac-Man, graphics card company Nvidia trained an artificial intelligence model to build a new playable version of the game from scratch without a game engine. The AI, which was fed 50,000 episodes of Pac-Man being played along with the accompanying controller inputs, then recreated it frame by frame. Nvidia plans to release the version online.
