AI decodes brain scans to recreate seen images
Scientists at Weizmann Institute developed Brain-IT, an AI system that reconstructs images from fMRI brain scans in about an hour. Led by Michal Irani, it trained on data from eight subjects viewing 70,000+ images. The tool maps how brain regions process visuals, decoding everything from simple signs to complex scenes.
