Days after the launch of OpenAI's new GPT Store to create customised versions of ChatGPT, users created AI chatbots marketed as virtual girlfriends. This goes directly against OpenAI's ban on bots "dedicated to fostering romantic companionship". According to a report, a search for 'girlfriend' showed at least eight AI chatbots with suggestive names like 'Your AI girlfriend, Tsu'.
