A recent study by University of Geneva and University of Bern researchers explored whether AI can exhibit emotional intelligence (EI) by assessing six generative AI models, including ChatGPT, using standard EI tests. AIs scored an average of 82%, outperforming human participants, who averaged 56%. The systems were also able to generate new EI tests in record time, the study said.
