Carnegie Mellon University's Robotics Institute's researchers have built an AI-powered robot, FRIDA, that can paint pictures from text prompts. FRIDA uses a robotic arm that has a paintbrush taped to it to create paintings on a canvas and uses machine learning to evaluate its work. "People wonder if FRIDA is going to take artists' jobs," Robotics Institute's Jean Oh said.
