IT industry body NASSCOM Chairman Srikanth Velamakanni opined that AI is going to accelerate India's tech industry, saying, "It's not going to be a threat." Responding to the recent AI-driven layoffs, he said, "We know that the pace of hiring has decreased [but] as growth restores, employment will also start to pick up...It's 1000 times expansion with 10 times compression."
