British Telecom (BT) Group CEO Allison Kirkby said advances in AI could deepen job cuts at the company. The current plan to cut over 40,000 jobs by 2030 and save $4 billion in costs doesn't fully account for AI's potential impact on workforce requirements, Kirkby said. In 2023, BT announced plans to cut around 55,000 jobs, including contractors, by 2030.
