AIIMS Bhopal doctors have discovered a previously undocumented gland in the nasopharynx, along with its drainage duct, confirming it as an independent structure. This breakthrough, published in the Journal of Anatomy, could improve head and neck surgery precision, radiotherapy planning, and disease detection, highlighting that even well-studied body regions can reveal new medical insights.
