AIIMS New Delhi reported a 19% rise in firecracker and carbide gun-related eye injuries this Diwali, with 190 cases recorded compared to 160 last year. Experts from the Rajendra Prasad Centre for Ophthalmic Sciences highlighted the growing concern over unsafe festive practices and urged stricter safety measures to prevent such incidents.
