AIIMS has planned a module to let patients book beds online, in an attempt to bring in transparency in the bed-allocation system in the hospital, with 1766 beds but over 40 lakh patients per year. Patients will now be able to track their status on the waiting list. The system will be implemented in the neurosurgery and cardiac departments first.
