AIIMS Patna violates govt order on RT-PCR test, cites 'software glitch'

Bihar government has said it'd seek an explanation from All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Patna, for charging general indoor patients ₹1,500 for RT-PCR COVID-19 tests. AIIMS Patna was charging patients despite a government order. Institute's Director Dr Prabhat Kumar Singh said it was due to a "software glitch", adding, "I have issued instructions to make the test free."
