AIIMS governing bodies on Friday passed a proposal to increase the retirement age of faculty members from 65 to 67, AIIMS Director Dr MC Misra said. The proposal will now go to the Cabinet for approval, he added. The proposal reportedly prompted concerns that it will create stagnation at the top and will affect recruitment of new professors.
