Room air conditioner (RAC) prices are expected to rise by 7-8% on new models from January 2026, according to a report by Equirus. It stated that the hike will be driven by the implementation of the new star-rating regime effective January 2026, along with persistent commodity inflation. Another round of price increases is likely in April-May, the report added.
