The government has set the minimum net worth criteria for those bidding for Air India at ₹5,000 crore, according to reports. Reportedly, an airline with a negative net worth can also bid provided they form a consortium that has a net worth of over ₹5,000 crore. Last year, IndiGo expressed interest to buy a stake in Air India.
