The Aircraft Accident Investigation Bureau (AAIB) has criticised international media for "selective and unverified" reporting about Air India plane crash. Calling out the "irresponsible" reporting, it said, "This is not the time to create public anxiety or angst towards safety of Indian Aviation Industry." This came after US-based Wall Street Journal claimed that the pilot cut off fuel to engines.
