Air India posts wider-than-expected loss of ₹22,000 crore in FY26, seeks shareholder help

Air India saw a loss of ₹22,000 crore in FY26, wider than its estimated ₹15,000-crore loss, Bloomberg reported. This has prompted Air India to seek financial aid from its shareholders, Tata Group and Singapore Airlines. The two shareholders' fund injection may be less than what Air India needs, meaning it would have to seek other financing options too.
