Prolonged exposure to poor air quality, especially high PM2.5 levels, can cause lasting neurological damage, particularly in developing brains. According to Dr Puja Kapoor, neurologist paediatrician, if antenatal mothers are exposed to high particulate matter 2.5, then there are high chances that the child could develop neurological problems in the form of autism, developmental delay, and ADHD.
