Air pollution rising faster in south than in Gangetic India: Study

The rate of increase in pollution levels in southern and eastern India between 2000 and 2019 is greater than in Gangetic India, according to a study by CPCB and IIT-Delhi. However, Gangetic India continues to be the most polluted region in the country. The study also found that air pollution in rural India has increased at par with urban India.
