Malaysian airline AirAsia Berhad said it will sell 32.67% stake in AirAsia India, its Indian joint venture, to Tata Sons for around ₹276.10 crore ($37.66 million). Before the transaction, AirAsia Berhad owned 49% in AirAsia India, while Tata Sons held 51%. It said the sale will allow it to focus on recovery in Southeast Asian markets amid the pandemic's impact.
