US-based apartment and home-sharing portal, Airbnb on Monday raised $1.5 billion in series E funding, with participation from 115 investors including Tiger Global, General Atlantic and Hillhouse Capital. Airbnb has now raised a total of $2.4 billion, valuing the firm at $25 billion, the third highest behind Uber ($51 billion) and Xiaomi ($46 billion) on the basis of venture-backed valuation.
