Airbus on Wednesday announced plans to cut up to 2,500 jobs by mid-2026 in its defence and space division. "In recent years, the defence and space sector...has been impacted by a fast-changing and very challenging business context," the division's CEO Michael Schoellhorn said. Airbus has been hit by €1.5 billion of charges in space systems in recent quarters.
