Airfares may get costlier for Dussehra, Diwali as jet fuel prices rise: Report

Airfares could rise ahead of Dussehra and Diwali after domestic Aviation Turbine Fuel (ATF) prices increased 5.46%, or ₹6.28 per litre, to ₹121.28, Moneycontrol reported. This marks the second monthly hike, following a ₹5 increase in August. Airlines may raise ticket prices to offset higher fuel costs, though some carriers could absorb the expense depending on demand, competition and capacity.
