Aishwarya Rai was crowned the 44th Miss World on November 19, 1994. She was 21 years old at the time of winning the title. Apart from winning the Miss World title, she was also named 'Miss Photogenic'. Aishwarya is the second Indian to have won the title after Reita Faria, who won it in the year 1966.
