Mizoram’s capital Aizawl is set to receive its first railway connection through the 51.38 km Bairabi–Sairang broad gauge line. The project, featuring 48 tunnels and over 140 bridges, connects Aizawl to the national rail network. Inauguration is expected soon, pending final approvals, with PM Modi likely to dedicate it in July.
