Filmmaker Rajiv Rai said his 1994 film 'Mohra' was a risky film with new faces. "I thought Suniel Shetty...Akshay Kumar fit the part," he further added. Rajiv revealed late actress Divya Bharti, who he introduced in Bollywood with the film 'Vishwatma', was keen on doing the film. However, Raveena Tandon signed the film after things with Divya didn't work out.
