Albert Einstein's eyeballs are stored in a box in New York

German-born physicist Albert Einstein's eyeballs are believed to be stored in a safe deposit box in New York City. The eyes were reportedly extracted during an autopsy in 1955, conducted by pathologist Thomas Harvey and were given to Henry Abrams, Einstein's eye doctor. Notably, Einstein's 138th birth anniversary was observed on Tuesday.
