The IMD on Monday issued 'Red' (Take action) and 'Orange' (Be prepared) rainfall alerts for 15 states. Red alert has been issued in coastal Karnataka that is expected to receive extremely heavy rainfall. Orange alert has been issued in Andhra Pradesh, Goa, Maharashtra, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Kerala, Odisha, Telangana, Chhattisgarh, Haryana and UP.
