Chinese quick-commerce, Alibaba, has announced a "wide-ranging" Physical AI collaboration with US chipmaking giant Nvidia. Physical AI refers to systems that perceive, understand spatial relationships and physics, and act in the real world, extending beyond traditional text or image-based AI applications. Alibaba earlier pledged a $53-billion investment in AI-related infrastructure by 2028.
