Chinese tech giant Alibaba's AI tool PANDA (pancreatic cancer detection with artificial intelligence) was able to identify pancreatic cancer before symptoms appeared. It helped detect pancreatic cancer in a patient by using non-contrast CT scans, offering him a better chance of survival. PANDA, which uses cutting-edge technology to find tiny tumours, is getting fast-tracked by FDA for use in US.
