Alibaba’s AliExpress accused of using hidden audio to track user devices

Brave said AliExpress was using hidden Web Audio processes to collect device information for browser fingerprinting, after a user noticed interference with Bluetooth headphones. The scripts generated silent audio and measured how devices processed it, along with details such as hardware and screen settings. Brave said its browser blocks the technique by default as part of its privacy protections.
