Chinese tech giant Alibaba has upgraded its open-source video-generating AI model, Wan2.2-S2V. Announced Tuesday, the new model can turn a single portrait photo into what the company calls “film-quality avatars” that can speak, sing, and perform on command. This update pushes the boundaries of AI-generated video, building on Alibaba’s existing video generation system.
