India's Ministry of Road Transport and Highways amended All India Tourist Vehicles Rules, 2026, reducing the maximum continuous stay outside home state from 90 to 60 days, effective April 1. Vehicles must start or end trips in home state, carry route details, fit tracking devices and emergency buttons, clear tolls/challans, and avoid non-tourist passenger services.
