Google parent Alphabet is reportedly laying off about 130 employees, or 9% of staff working on its high-speed internet project Google Fiber following the exit of the project's CEO Craig Barratt on Tuesday. The technology giant will also halt its rollout of Fiber to eight American cities where it had announced plans.
